Statement of Purpose
To present information, news, commentary, analysis, and solutions from the perspective of non partisan minimal government and free markets. To enlighten American citizens to the principles that made the U.S.the greatest country in the history of humankind and inspire them to understand that freedom is not free and it is the responsibility of free citizens to be informed and involved enough to make sure that government always remains subservient to those they are sworn to protect. The core beliefs of Nonpartisan Marketplace are: (1) All government must be nonpartisan not only in name but in function. No political party has a right to administer government at any level. George Washington said that the day that political parties control government would mark the end of the Republic. It is the responsibility of every citizen to do everything lawful to hasten the end of partisan government. (2) The scope of government as expressed best in Article I Section 35 of the State of Alabama Constitution of 1901 The sole object and only legitimate end of government is to protect the citizen in the enjoyment of life, liberty, and property and when it assumes other functions it is usurpation and oppression. The words of Edmond Burke remind us of the grave consequences of not living up to our responsibilities as citizens. “The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” Let us all all heed these words and be responsible citizens.
Let us also remember the words of Sam Adams: “It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people’s minds. “
