Recently a political mini firestorm was ignited when a female Democratic Party strategist publicly stated that Ann Romney, wife of presidential Republican Party candidate Mitt Romney had never “worked a day in her life”. From what I understand, Ann Romney never had a paid job outside of her home. One way of saying it is Ann Romney has been a stay at home mother and is now a homemaker and sometimes public surrogate for her candidate husband Mitt Romney. I am certainly no fan of Demcratic stratigists but, I am a dedicated proponent of truth. Truth and partisanship do not usually coincide and usually fails to deal with the pertinent issue at hand. First of all, the partisan conservatives such as Sean Hannity have done the very thing that he accuses liberal partisans of doing, taking someone’s words in a way that was not intended and out of context. What Ms. Rosen, the”foot in mouth” Democratic Party strategist, meant to say was that Ann Romney, had never had a paid job outside the home. She clearly did not intend to say that by being a stay at home mom that Ann Romney had not performed any work. Ms. Rosen even admitted having been a stay at home mom at some part of her life. This has resulted in a lot of arguing back and forth about how hard it is to stay at home and raise children. I could say a lot about that but I won’t. My site is dedicated to what to do about maximizing freedom and minimizing the size and scope of government. I will briefly say that my wife and I both reared two girls while we both worked full time and eventhough we felt rearing children a challenge, we never felt like it was hard and actually found it to be fulfilling and much of the time actually enjoyable. And for those who want to foster the false notion that only the rich can afford for moms to stay at home, I grew up in an old fashioned two parent household that was far from rich. As a matter of fact it was certainly low income and certainly by today’s government guidelines would fall far below the poverty level. I kinda knew that we were not as well off as most people but, I never thought of myself or family as being poor. My dad never even considered seeking any kind of government assistance, even for such a minor thing as reduced or free school lunches. My mom was one of those stay at home moms and homemakers. She also never worked a “day of her life” outside the home. We got by because we lived modestly and within our means. In looking back It was a good and decent life. If my mom and dad had decided for mom to work outside the home it would have also been a good and decent life. Now I will analyze the much more insidious point that Ms. Rosen was intending to make. The arrogant partisan Ms. Rosen was implying that Ann Romney, and by extension, anyone else could not give an intelligent opinion about something unless a person had the benefit of personal experience. This of course is a totally ludicrous and absurd assertion. If this assertion was adhered to across the board the world would be in chaos. Human beings are fully capable of being well educated without having to personally experience everything in life and therefore are certainly qualified to give opinions that can be informative and and certainly valid. Ms. Rosen’s assertion that one must have personal experience in order to give an opinion on matters of concern pretty much invalidates the concept of institutionalized schooling also referred to as education. Ms. Rosen put her foot in her mouth which is not hard to do when partisanship is your prime directive and motivation. Fly high and be free. Your freedom eagle, John H.

Contrary to what people have been led to believe by government and the media the economy is not the productive division of government. The economy is the sum total of private citizens engaged in business activities and fulfilling the wants and needs of their customers expressed in and measured in terms of money. The word economy has been overused, misused, and abused to the point of absurdity. The effect has been to obfuscate in the minds of the masses the true nature of private business activity which is to produce wealth for the owners of the business. The only way a private business can succeed and continue to exist as a functioning ongoing enterprise is by satisfying its customers. Contrary to what the Keynesian-minded deceivers would like the citizens to believe, there is no separate singular entity called economy, a collective unpredictable haphazard machine that must be quided, stimulated, slowed down, bailed out, and regulated ad nauseum. Citizens, everytime you hear some blow hard politician or foolish media wonk use the word economy substitute the term private business sector and see if what is being spewed out sounds rational. When the central planning Keynesian, Marxist, Fascist, government usurpers talk about stimulating the economy they are talking about stimulating free people by spending more taxpayers’ money. How dare these fools think they have the right to stimulate anybody. Free people have the right and resonsibility to decide when and how much to spend and what to spend it on. Government’s only legitimate job is to secure the rights of people to life, liberty, and property. It is not the right of government to manage, plan, invest in, manipulate, or interfere in any way with the so called economy. Remember the word economy is just a devious substitute for the term private busines sector. This private business sector is the great engine that produces the wealth that has given Americans the highest standard of living in the world and in the history of humankind. This is the engine that innovates and employs people in constructive and productive enterprise. The attempt by government to interfere and exacerbate the problems created by government to begin with by spending even more money will do nothing but further impare the engine that produces the very revenue that government so voraciously, wastefully, and shamefully squanders. The private business sector does not belong to government nor is it monlithic in its existence. It is composed of millions of individual free people pursuing their own personal goals and in so doing satisfying customers and employees by providing goods and sevices and payroll income. This is a fundamental truth that no one can successfully dispute and it must be understood and upheld by free people if this Republic is to survive. Fly high and be free, Your freedom eagle, John H.

It has been exactly two years since I started this website. At this most festive time of year I extend my most heartfelt well wishes to all my subscribers and visitors no matter what holiday they are celebrating or if none at all. To all those who have visited and shared with others any benefit you have received and to all who have helped to encourage me with your comments and told others about this site I say with the deepest humility thank you so very much. There are two very good reasons why this site only averages one essay per month. I am the only writer is the first reason. The second reason is I spend countless hours thinkiing about what to write about and just as many hours thinking about what to say and how to say it. I want to be absolutely sure that no matter how much time passes I can stand one hundred percent behind every word I write. That is my pledge to everyone. Any writer worthy of his profession is ultimately responsble for every word that he publishes. I welcome comments whether critical or affirmative. If I should ever discover after further review or reflection that I have been mistaken I am not too proud to correct a mistake but, my opinions and analyses will never be based on polls or what is popular or generally perceived as true. Truth can and must be determined objectively. My search for truth is a quest and will never end. My goal is to share truth and understanding with everyone whose mind is open and to those whose minds are not open I hope I may be an instrument for good and help open those minds. I undertook this goal two years ago in starting this site for the sake of the present and future of the freedom and prosperity of this unique country, the United States of America( E Pluribus Unum) out of many one. The United States, the only country started based on a universal idea not on tribal association. That idea being that all people have inalienable rights to life, liberty, and property and government’s only legitimate function is to protect those rights. Over the years there developed a disconnect from this principle. The solution to the problems so dominant in the media is to return to this core principle of good government and good citizenship. Fly high and be free. Your freedom eagle, John H.

Government is an instrument of proection of the inalienable rights of those who hire them. Therfore government is a servant, not a master. Government has no rights of its own. It only has responsbilities to protect and the necessary authority to perform it’s duties. Government’s only rights are those delegated to it by the people they are sworn to protect. Citizens can only delegate to government their right of self defense. Government’s only legitimate function is protecting people’s rights to life, liberty, and property. When government goes beyond it’s only Legitimate function it is usurpation and oppression. It then becomes a net detriment to the society that employs it and creates a net decrease in prosperity. Fly high and be free. Your freedom eagle John H.

Occupiers is a good label for the motley melange of malcontent destructive- minded disruptive rabble that has invaded NYC and taken unlawful possession of a piece of ground called a POPS(privately owned public space). Interestingly enough the plaza or park used to be called Liberty Park. During the time this essay has been slowly materializing as most of my essays do I have watched this “occupy” movement spread to other cities across our beleaguered land like the spores of a poison mushroom. I even recently had the experience of being accosted as I was leaving an appearance by Herman Cain here in Montgomery, AL by a lone “occupier” supporter shouting a familiar chant of their’s “we are the 99 per cent”. I assume my audience knows that the occupiers think there’s something wrong with one per cent owning a disproportionate amount of wealth. I just don’t get it. I am also part of the same 99 per cent and it doesn’t bother me one bit. It is morally corrupt to covet what another person owns even if they are millionaires or billionaires. If anyone becomes wealthy by honest means then they are guiltless and it is a shame and disgrace for politicians and private citizens to encourage envy and outright hostility to the most productive and successful minority in this land of opportunity. This wealthy minority that is being demonized by the hooligan- minded occupiers deserve to be respected for their accomplishments for their success has elevated the standard of living of millions of people. These occupiers have bought in to the perverted thinking that is propagated by the spread of Marxist socialist Keynesian philosophy. They obsinately and viciously attack the productive class when they should be protesting pervasive overreaching government that does not produce wealth but instead transfers it at its whim to its cronies. The net effect of this wealth transfer is a net decrease in prosperity and opportunites for individuals to provide for themseves and pursue their happiness. The occupiers are like spoiled children and have been praised and coddled by liberal minded politicians and media to the point of being repugnant and nauseating. The way they have been allowed to destroy private and public property, interfere with other citizens to go about their legitimate daily activities, and defy legitimate laws regulating public demonstrations is truly disgusting. Freedom of speech has no relation to what the “occupiers” across the nation are doing. It is way past time for this rabble to be reigned in and confronted with the legitimate laws that the rest of us are expected to comply with. Fly high and be free. Your freedom eagle, John H

I Was Just Watching Geraldo Rivera At Large on Fox News Channel as he was interviewing celebrities like Russell Simmons at the site of the occupy Wall Street protest. Typical of the intransigent wrong headed liberal elitists, Simmons was eager to misrepresent the very free market that made him so incredibly rich. Insted of criticizing government for bailing out financial corporation he made the absurd statement that the corporations are controlling government when it should be clear to anybody but a fool that it is illegitimate government that controls the corporations. I think it is worth noting that the libtard court jesters like Russell Simmons don’t seem to be condemning the bailout of corporations like General Motors aka Government Motors and its fellow government crony Chrysler. Oh I just wonder why? Could it be perhaps because Government Motors and Chrysler are union employers and the financial corporations are not. What a disgusting display of shamefull hipocrosy. Private corporations control bovernment? When is the last time you saw a private corporation arrest a citizen. imprison a citizen, execute a citizen. seize a citizen’s property without charging the property owner with a crime ? Corporations controlling government? Give me a break please! I’ve had as much of this Marxist, anti private enterprise bs as I can stand. There is no more damnable a lie as the malicious assertion that private corporations control government. Fly high and be free, Your freedom eagle John H.

In this great but faltering country I have been hearing a disturbing mantra from private citizens, media people, and government officials for far too long that ” a small number of rich people control a large amount of wealth in this country”. I don’t recall the percentages but, that just doesn’t matter. What does matter is the allegation itsef. The implication of the allegation is that the amount of wealth is controlled by too few people. Never mind the fact that the very people who make this absurdly evil allegation owe their very livelyhood to these same rich people who ” control so much wealth”. These are the people who never had the ambition, talent, savvy, or wherewithall to start a single business. They are the ones content to work for these “rich” people and let them have all the headaches such as employing people who aren’t satisfied that all they have to do is show up, do their job, and then go home. Oh no, they think that somehow just because the “rich” “exploits” them that they should control the wealth . Well, I have news for these ignorant, selfish, greedy, malcontents. The people who produce the wealth have every right to control it. Who else should control it? It is implicit that these malcontents think that they should control it or government should control it and even distribute it to them through some kind of Marxist grandiose utopian scheme. What a shame that there are far too many millions of Americans who have such a perverted attitude. Most rich people are honest and deserve to own every penny of wealth they have. Ownership of wealth doesn’t just confer the right to consume that wealth. It includes the right to give away and control its use as the owner sees fit. Any rich person who has accumulated wealth by fraud or outright theft is guilty of crime and is subject to legal penalties. This is a nation of the rule of law. It is not a perfect system since it is of humans not angels but, it is the best system in the history of mankind and has given the highest standard of living to the largest number of people than any other country. It is the wonder of the free market that has brought this about, not the voodoo of illegitimate gavernment stepping outside its proper function of protecting life, liberty, and property. Fly high and be free. Your freedom eagle, John H.

How many times have you heard the Keynesian mantra “stimulate the economy” chanted like part of some mystical ritual by the lamestream media and the even lamer White House and Democrat and Republican politicians ? It’s as if the “economy” is some kind of living entity like a worm in the laboratory of some mad scientest that isn’t moving to suit the mad scientest(i.e. El Presidente) so the mad scientest sticks electrical probes in the worm to “stimulate” it. Instead of moving faster the poor worm dies and the mad scientest is clueless to why the worm died. Well, the economy is not a worm that needs to be stimulated but, the Keynesian, fascist, central planning politicians including El Presidente himself are nothing better than mad scientists and voodoo priests. I am disgusted with the misuse of language to perpetuate damnable false concepts and ideology. I am talking about the word “economy”. First of all let us be clear that the “economy” is people, private citizens. It is not the duty or right of any level of government to ” stimulate” people by spending money. Think how absurd it would sound if everytime the word economy would ordinarily be used the terms private citizens, people, private sector, or business sector were used instead. The solemn duty of government is to protect the private sector by protecting the individual rights of the citizens who constitute the private sector to life, liberty, and property. This is the only positive contribution that government can make to society. This protective function creates a net gain to the prosperity of society. When government goes beyond this protective function there is a net decrease in prosperity. The reason this is true is simple. It is the private sector that creates wealth, not government. While it is true that the private sector also consumes wealth, it is government that consumes wealth without creating any. No more stimulation. Please! I’ve had all I can stand. Fly high and be free. Your freedom eagle, John H.

When I hear or see anybody or any organization proclaiming they are anti-war a red flag goes up and questions come to mind. I don’t recall in my lifetime anyone or any organization proclaiming theY were pro warr. You would just about have to be a psychopath to be pro war. Somtimes war is necessary. Just killing is sometimes necessary. War and killing is necessary in defense of life, liberty, and in some cases property. Probably the best example of a nessary war is WWII. German, Italian, and Japanese attempts to rule the world had to be resisted and defeated. I have, however, known of two idealogies that are pro war: global communism and global Islamic jihad.. Global communism failed partly because it was resisted and partly of its own lack of validity. Global Islamic jihad will ultimately fail for the same reasons but, in the meantime it must be resisted with military force just as the calculated spread of global communism was resisted until it ceased to advance its demonic murderous dictatorial conquests. Eventhough military power put a halt to the forceful annexation of countries it was ultimately the very nature of the corrupt untrue ideology that caused it to dramatically collapse when the citizens under its brutal control finally decided they had been held back for too long and just refused to submit anymore. The only countries where communism still rule are China, North Korea, Vietnam, and Cuba. Of these four only North Korea persists in extreme totalitarian rule with no permission given to any meaningful private capitalistic enterprise. Ultimately The “Hermit Kingdom” Of North Korea will crumble. Global Islamic rule will ultimately fail but it is difficult to predict how long it will take due to the fact that it persists in perpetuating itself as a religion all the while fully embracing all of the false ideas of global Communism. Many “anti war” champions just use the emotional appeal of pacifism to hide their socialist agenda since overtly supporting Communism is no longer in vogue. Let me make myself clear, their is no socialist on the face of this Earth that is more anti-war than I but I advocate fighting on a personal level and national collective level in defense of life, liberty, and property against those who would dare initiate force. Till later. Fly high and be free. Your Freedom Eagle, John H.
